When it’s cold outside you’ll want to have a handful of hot lunch ideas to keep your kids cozy at school. Here you will find a week’s worth of ideas, and they’re not all soup! Of course, the easiest thing to do is just pack those dinner leftovers. But if you want to avoid burnout (we usually revisit our dinners via leftovers once or twice during the week), you can have these hot lunch ideas ready. Of course you’ll need a thermos to keep the hot lunch hot unless your child’s school allows access to a microwave (make sure you use the right container in this case!).
Tip: Fill your thermos with boiling water and put the lid on it. Allow it to sit for five minutes, then dump the water out and put hot food inside. This will ensure that the food will be nice and hot at lunch time!
